2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards Fashion Review

Last night, awards season continued as A-list stars from your favorite TV shows and films turned out for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. The critically acclaimed film The Help took home top honors for “Best Actress,” “Supporting Actress” and “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Motion Picture,” while The Artist star Jean Dujardin took home “Best Actor” honors. Other standout winners of the night included Alec Baldwin for 30 Rock, and Betty White (who just celebrated her 90th birthday) for her role in Hot In Cleveland.

Once again, many of the night’s brightest stars made all the right choices when it came to fashion. Here are my top style/footwear picks of the night, along with similar shoe styles that won’t break the bank.

Lea Michele

The Glee star looked flawless from head to toe. Michele wore a daring gray Grecian-style Versace gown, paired with sparkling Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, a glitzy Fendi handbag and pointed satin pumps from Casadei. Michele always makes the right fashion moves, and this satin pump added extra glam to her look.

Emily Blunt

Actress Emily Blunt is no stranger to red carpet style. Seen here last night in a beautiful jade gown from Oscar de la Renta, Blunt paired it with a Swarovski clutch and metallic Jimmy Choo heels.  She truly worked her straight-from-the-runway look.

Whenever you want to add a little extra detail to your look, a great pump or sandal with a vamp embellishment (similar to Stone’s footwear from Sunday night) adds the perfect finishing touch. This sandal features beaded detail that gives your evening attire a high-fashion edge.

Viola Davis

My top fashion star of the night was by far The Help star Viola Davis.  Davis, who beat out Hollywood veterans like Glenn Close and Meryl Streep in last night’s “Best Actress” category, was one of the true showstoppers of the evening. I thought her Grecian-style white and gold beaded gown by Marchesa was absolutely to die for! Davis paired her stunning gown with footwear by Jimmy Choo,  Cathy Waterman jewelry and a Judith Leiber clutch.
