Back To Work Women’s Shoes And Accessories 2011: Trends, Tips, Suggestions
Fall welcomes the start of a new school year, which means shopping for students of all ages. With all the great new styles and deals out there to usher in the cooler months, it seems unfair that Back To School season should be limited to…just students. Whether you’re just starting out in your career (like me!), looking for fresh styles to wear to work, or you just want to freshen up your fall wardrobe, this is your time too!
Back To Work Women’s Shoes: 2011
So what do we have to work with this season when it comes to must-have fall shoes? I’ve previously discussed one of the hot fall trends for 2011—the chunky heel. Well, this isn’t the only go-to style this season.
Top designers are showcasing footwear like booties, wedges and loafer-style pumps in their fall/winter runway shows. But you don’t need to have Carrie Bradshaw’s seemingly endless shoe budget, (although a girl *can dream…) to get some of this season’s hottest styles.
Booties
Volatile Gatsby
Shop: Volatile Gatsby
This suede bootie will pair perfectly with anything from a great tailored pencil skirt to a pair of dress pants. And, this style could easily make the transition from work to evening.
Volatile Jameson
Shop: Volatile Jameson
I had to share another selection from Volatile with you, because it’s so cute and on-point with this season’s trends. Once again, this bootie can act as the perfect finishing touch to your work wear, and be worn with other clothing styles. I absolutely love the side bow detail, paired with the perfect heel height for cold weather months. And Volatile shoes are not only stylish, but so affordable as well! Whether you’re just starting out in your first “real world” job, or looking for a great pair of stylish boots, Volatile can’t be beat.
Loafers And Wedge Booties
Two other fall shoe trends perfect for work are loafer-style pumps and wedge booties.
Enzo Angiolini Balinia
Shop: Enzo Angiolini Balinia
The classic penny loafer shoe has been around for decades. But this season the style gets a contemporary makeover with the Balinia. The loafer-style features make it an easy choice for work attire, and the great heel and stud detailing adds a bit of modern flair.
Volatile Twain
Shop: Volatile Twain
Luxurious suede, lace-up detail, and just the right amount of height combine to make the perfect wedge bootie. The Twain boasts contemporary edge, and could be worn with a great pair of tights or leggings with a skirt, or with a pair of “skinny” tailored dress pants.
Back To Work Accessories: 2011
When looking to re-work your wardrobe choices for fall, you can’t forget to accessorize. Fashion week saw a variety of new styles and prints in handbags clutches and hats. From structured totes and studded satchels, to herringbone hats, here are a few great picks I came across at a fraction of the cost.
Roxy Bash Fashion Hat
Shop: Roxy Bash Fashion Hat
How cute is this hat?! Pair it with a great natural colored fall trench and any of the shoes mentioned above, and you’ll be a fashion star wherever you go.
Andiamo World Handbag
Shop: Andiamo World Handbag
Totes are big this fall, as are prints. This croco-print tote bag from Andiamo is an accessory that can do no wrong.
Volatile Shell Handbag
Shop: Volatile Shell Handbag
For a fun satchel-style handbag with a bit of a rock n’ roll edge, the Shell from Volatile is a great pick. It’s practical and boasts the studded style that’s very popular this season.
