The annual Met Gala at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art hosts Hollywood’s A-list celebs, and some of the most elegant and out-there fashions of the year.

The theme for this year’s exhibit, “China: Through the Looking Glass” was evident on the red carpet Monday night, with several starlets donning designer gowns with hints of Chinese culture and fashion. Some chose over-the-top and extravagant creations (think Sarah Jessica Parker, Rihanna and Beyonce), while others strayed from the long, dramatic dresses and opted for something a little more simple.

I loved model Miranda Kerr’s look – a chic metallic mini dress with sheer long sleeves. She kept her accessories simple, pairing the dress with a metallic clutch and black patent leather pumps.
