Celeb Style Review: 20th Annual Critics Choice Awards

15670390804_5a412fea4b_oAwards Season is in full swing!

Just days after the Golden Globes, and following the highly anticipated Academy Awards nominations announced early Thursday, A-list stars turned out to the Hollywood Palladium for 20th Annual Critics Choice Awards.

Birdman nabbed seven awards including, “Best Actor” and “Best Actor in a Comedy” for star Michael Keaton, “Best Original Screenplay” and more. Boyhood won four awards including “Best Picture” and “Best Supporting Actress” for Patricia Arquette, while Wes Anderson’s  The Grand Budapest Hotel  scored awards for “Best Comedy,” “Best Art Direction” and “Best Costume Design.” Once again, Common and John Legend earned a nod for “Best Song” for “Glory” from the critically acclaimed film, Selma. On the fashion front, there were a few fab stand-outs from the evening, including Jennifer Aniston’s ravishing red Gucci tuxedo, Jamie Chung’s semi-sheer Yanina Couture dress and Rosario Dawson’s gorgeous one-shoulder dress. One look I really loved, was the sultry and sweet ensemble worn by Big Eyes actress Amy Adams.

Adams rocked the Blue carpet in a tea-length, strapless gold gown, and paired it with sweet, open-toed sparkling heels from designer Kurt Geiger. Adams’ fashion choices are always flawless, and I thought her look was the right blend of fun and fashion-forward.

Those heels Adams wore are quite pricey. Fab, but pricey. 🙂 But if you have an upcoming event you’d like to wear a sparkling heel for, I’ve found a similar look for less that won’t break your budget.

Blue by Betsey Johnson Sweet

Whether you want a glam night out with the girls, a great shoe for date night or even the right pair of shoes for your upcoming “I Dos,” the Sweet is the perfect choice. You can show off your pedi thanks to the chic open toe, plus the gorgeous strappy silhouette is spangled with glittering stones for a celeb-worthy look that mirrors Adams’ style. And hey – if you’re thinking of this shoe for your wedding, it also works as your “Something Blue,” thanks to the sweet powder blue outsole. LOVE!
