Celebrity Style: Tyra Banks
Have you seen America’s Next Top Model? Have you looked through an issue of Sports Illustrated? Besides models, what do these two things have in common? One response could be Tyra Banks.
Tyra Banks first became famous when she appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Since those days, Tyra has worked with models all over the world and developed her own TV reality series, America’s Next Top Model. Tyra is the judge who taught all models to “smile with their eyes”. This was one piece of advice she would give almost every girl on America’s Next Top Model.
With Tyra’s career almost always involving modeling, it was no surprise to see her at the NBC and Time Inc.’s 50th anniversary of Sports Illustrated. Why wouldn’t she want to return to celebrate with the magazine that got her career started? She was surrounded by many other models, but she definitely stood out in my eyes.
Many of the models on the red carpet wore various types of little black dresses, and Tyra was no exception. But then again who wouldn’t wear a LBD? Everyone knows that black dresses are classic and never go out of style! Tyra’s dress was a little different from all the other models; her dress featured a lace top that was sheer at the sides and had a black slip underneath. She wore little accessories except a few rings and a pair of black suede heels with a thick ankle strap.
