Last night several of today’s hottest stars from television and film turned out for the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London.  In terms of fashion, black was the color of the evening on the red carpet for both the men and women – most of the men opted for standard black tuxedos and many of the women wore classic black gowns with black pumps.

One shining style star of the evening was Mad Men actress Elizabeth Moss, who I thought looked absolutely amazing on the red carpet. First off, can I just say how much I love her new ‘do?! That brand new platinum blonde pixie cut is so fresh and fierce – I think it definitely brightens her face and adds a sassy and youthful edge to her look. LOVE it!

Anyways, Moss wore a gorgeous Grecian-style coral gown, accenting it with gold earrings, a cuff bracelet and gold strappy sandals. The color combination was absolutely to die for.        Image courtesy of prphotos.com

While there’s nothing wrong with sticking to an all-black ensemble for your next special occasion, Moss proves that sometimes, you just need to add a little bit of color to take your look from great to royally amazing!
