HUGE news out of London this morning – several news sources are reporting that Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge is officially in labor!

It seems all of England, reporters from around the globe and fans of the Royal Family have been waiting for this moment for quite some time; many news organizations have been camped out outside of St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, Central London for WEEKS awaiting this day!

While Duchess Kate has always seemed to be more of a “normal,” and “down-to-earth” royal (she does her own grocery shopping and isn’t afraid to be pictured wearing the same outfit twice), there’s no doubt women everywhere turn to her for her elegant sense of style.

In the weeks leading up to this day, the lovely Duchess Kate was pictured at events looking as fabulous as ever. When it comes to footwear, Kate has often opted for the black pump as her go-to shoe for official appearances. So I thought I’d take a look back at some of her best looks, and give you a couple footwear picks for less to give your own wardrobe a regal spin.

Here we have Kate wearing her signature black pump at an appearance last April at The Imperial War Museum in Southwark. This is one of my favorite looks the Duchess has worn – I love the combination of the sleek gray dress with the eye-catching gold-tone belt and black almond toe pump.

What’s also great about this look, and Kate’s style in general, is that any woman can rock it. Kate’s looks are never over-the-top; you could easily replicate this look yourself for work or a special occasion. There’s just something very “girl next door” about Kate and her style – one of the main reasons she’s so popular!
