The Internet is buzzing with news that actor Mark Wahlberg is set to be Nathan Drake in an upcoming movie based on the popular Uncharted video game series.

If you check out Twitter you’ll see that Mark Wahlbeg as Nathan Drake is getting mixed reviews from fans.

Now certainly Mark Wahlberg isn’t the greatest actor to ever to grace a movie poster, but he’s earned my interested over the past few years. His roles in Shooter, The Departed, and Italian Job have been winners.

I’m just getting caught up on the video game the movie will be based on. I’m not much of a gamer, but from what I can tell the character is actually based on the look and personalities of Johnny Knoxville with a little Harrison Ford and Bruce Willis thrown in.

It’ll be interesting to see if the movie is a winner.

Mark Wahlberg seems to have the talent and drive to succeed in a role like this. He’s played heroes before and he does have the rough-around-the-edges look to him.
