Red Carpet Style – Primetime Emmy Awards

EmmyAwards Season is here! 🙂

Last night, the stars turned out for the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards at the Nokia Theatre in LA.

Big winners of the night included the fan-favorite drama Breaking Bad, which nabbed awards for “Outstanding Drama Series”; the show’s stars Brian Cranston, Anna Gunn and Aaron Paul took home the gold as well.  Modern Family once again took home the “Outstanding Comedy Series” award, as did the show’s supporting actor Ty Burrell.

Other winners of the evening included Julia Louis-Dreyfus for Veep, Julianna Margulies for The Good Wife, plus two of my favorite actors, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman won for their roles in Sherlock. To see a complete list of winners, click here.

On the fashion front, this year’s awards were all about color, eye-catching hemlines and shine. Let’s get right to my top picks from the evening – along with some similar stylish footwear looks for less! 🙂

Lena Headley

Lena Hedley

Let me just start by saying that Game of Thrones is one of my all-time favorite shows, and Lena Headley is one of my favorite stars on screen and on the fashion front! She’s not afraid to take risks and rock her own edgy sense of style – last night’s look was daring, yet still elegant for the Emmy Red Carpet. Headley wore a black one-shoulder, asymmetrical gown by designer Rubin Singer. Because the gown already had a lot going on, she kept things simple with her accessories and shoes, sticking to simple earrings and a shapely black peep toe pump.

Calvin Klein Katie (Women’s)

Calvin Klein Katie

Here’s a simple, yet stunning peep toe pump for when you want to go a little bit rock & roll on your next night out like Hedley. 🙂  The Katie is extremely versatile, yet it has just a bit of a twist – subtle lizard-print detail for a touch of pattern. It’s also currently on sale too – bonus!

Kiernan Shipka

Kiernan Shipka

The young actress and Mad Men star is an old pro on screen, and on the Red Carpet. I loved her look last night – her ensemble was the perfect blend of sophisticated and fun. Shipka wore a silver dress from Antonio Beradi, and matched it to perfection with a pair of metallic peep toe sandals.

Touch Ups Jane (Women’s)

This enchanting sandal is sure to keep your night special and chic! It has a similar ankle strap style, a wearable 1-3/4″ heel, and a unique glittered and strappy vamp design. This shoe will make you look and feel like a star!

Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland

I LOVED Hyland’s style last night! The two-piece look is totally in right now, and this ensemble by designer Christian Siriano was to-die-for! Now, you can’t really see her shoes here, but for a striking white/coral combination like Hyland’s, I think a white satin peep toe pump would look superb.

Touch Ups Emmy (Women’s)

I mean, with the name “Emmy,” it’s already a winner, right?! 🙂 This pump is sleek, simple and quite elegant – perfect for a dress with a pop of color. Plus, it’s only $65.95!
