1) Get a foot ruler or just a regular ruler and place it on an even floor surface

2) Have your child step evenly on the ruler and take measurements of BOTH of their feet in inches; use the longest measurement for determining their shoe size

3) Add approximately a thumb’s width to the actual length to ensure ample wiggle room for toes and room for growth
