Could Trump be Telling Obama “You’re Fired”?

I’m sure you’ve heard the debate over whether or not Donald Trump is actually running for president, but is this true, or is it just a marketing scheme?

According to ABC News, Trump said he is serious about running as a Republican for the 2012 presidential election. I’ve heard both sides, but it sure does look like he’s serious about being the next Mr. President. From giving interviews to the political press, to speeches in Washington, he is making a valid effort to keeping his name in the media… but is that all he wants from this? To better brand the Trump name and create favorable publicity?

Royal Wedding Bells are in the Air

With the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton only a little more than a month away, it’s hard to avoid the news about wedding guests, vows and … an official wedding coin? Yes, that’s correct, the coin features the wedding date along with a picture of the royal couple and their names. According to People.com, the issued coin will sell for 10 pounds, or about $16 to commemorate the couple’s wedding.

Grammy Shoes

I’ll admit it – the majority of my evening Sunday was dedicated to the 2011 Grammy red carpet and award show. A few key shoe trends definitely stood out to me as I watch the stars parade across my tv. Shimmer and glitter were everywhere, with many celebs jazzing up their footwear with sparkly embellishments. I also noticed a lot of peep toed pumps. And the heels! I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of the shoes I saw had at least 5″ stilettos. Courting a Kardashian – Kim’s Newest Boyfriend?

Our local radio station had a contest this week. The winner was the first person to call in and correctly guess the birthday Kim Kardashian recently celebrated. I was surprised to find out that she had turned 30! Don’t get me wrong, thirty is not old. I just always thought she was younger than that because of the lifestyle she leads – fun, fashion, parties, shopping and relationships all documented for public consumption.

A Shoe In – Rockport on The Apprentice

Watch out Donald! Last night on NBC, Rockport took over Trump’s boardroom on The Apprentice. I made sure to be home and ready to watch as nine o’clock rolled around. Modern Family Provides Fresh Comedy

The past five years or so, I’ve really felt like there has been a lack of good, old-fashion sitcoms on tv. The end of NBC’s Friends was a huge deal to me. I was a freshman in college as the series was winding down and got into the habit of watching each new episode with the girls in my dorm. Since finding out that Ross & Rachel did end up together and realizing that Joey’s spin-off was no substitute for the real thing, I haven’t found too many comedies that hold my attention the way Friends did. Eat, Pray, Love – Movie or Book?

I love reading – news, magazines, books – it doesn’t matter. So when my co-workers were talking about starting a book club last winter, I was all in. I had never been involved in one before and it sounded like a lot of fun! So far we’ve read our way through some diverse books, with meetings focused around food and fun. We’ve taken a more laidback approach this summer, choosing book/movie combos and holding our meetings at the local movie theater. Yesterday was our August get-together.
